People Development Specialist (Technical/Operational Training)

Location: Flexible (ideally South West, hybrid/remote depending on location)Salary: £65,000 + excellent benefits

A leading national property services contractor is looking to appoint a People Development Specialist to support the design and delivery of operational and technical training programmes across its commercial and operational workforce.

This is a newly created role within a growing People Development Team and is central to the organisation’s strategic goal of building a high-performance, coaching-led culture. The role will work closely with operational teams, supporting skills development in trade, construction, and maintenance environments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Source, design and deliver engaging training and qualification programmes

  • Build and maintain the company’s CITB relationship to access funding and ensure qualification relevance

  • Collaborate with the Health & Safety team to align training with compliance and site safety

  • Use learning technology to implement blended learning solutions

  • Work with internal stakeholders to conduct training needs analysis and build impactful development pathways

About You:

  • Strong background in L&D or People Development within a trade, construction, or maintenance setting

  • Confident designing and delivering technical or operational training programmes

  • Comfortable using Learning Management Systems and digital tools to enhance delivery

  • Excellent communicator, able to engage and influence stakeholders

  • Committed to embedding diversity, inclusion and safety in all development activity
