The Opportunity Join a leading engineering consultancy working on major nuclear energy programmes, including new-build power stations and advanced reactor technologies. This is a chance to contribute to projects that will define the future of clean energy.

We would also welcome applications from candidates in power generation, oil & gas, chemical processing, pharmaceutical, or heavy industrial sectors.

Your duties and responsibilities will be:

  • Analyse and validate input data, technical requirements, and lessons learned from previous projects.
  • Size components such as pumps, pipework, fans, and tanks, including thermal and hydraulic calculations using in-house or commercial tools.
  • Perform thermal assessments for building environments and support procurement with technical specifications.
  • Manage system modification requests, ensuring compliance and applicability.
  • Develop and present technical solutions that maintain design integrity and meet multidisciplinary requirements.

You will have the following qualifications and experience:

  • Degree in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering or equivalent qualification.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage your own workload effectively.
  • Excellent communication skills and a proactive approach to building positive working relationships.
  • Ideally, 3+ years’ experience in process engineering or relevant experience within the nuclear sector.
  • Previous experience working on operational plants or industrial sites.
