We are looking for an experienced HGV Technician, HGV Mechanic or LGV Fitter to join a well-equipped, professional commercial vehicle workshop in Avonmouth. This role offers excellent pay, weekday hours, and the chance to upskill through industry-leading training. You will work on modern trucks, undertake inspections, and carry out both planned maintenance and reactive repairs, ensuring vehicles meet DVSA roadworthiness standards.

Key Responsibilities of an HGV Mechanic / HGV Technician / LGV Fitter
Service, repair, and maintain HGVs, LGVs, and commercial vehicles to the highest standard
Carry out MOT preparations and safety inspections
Diagnose and repair mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical faults
Complete all service documentation accurately and on time
Work efficiently to support workshop productivity and minimise downtime

Skills and Qualifications for an HGV Mechanic / HGV Technician / LGV Fitter

Essential
Experience as an HGV Technician, HGV Mechanic, LGV Fitter, Truck Mechanic, or Heavy Vehicle Technician
Level 3 Heavy Vehicle Maintenance and Repair qualification or equivalent time-served experience
Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills
Full UK driving licence

Desirable
HGV Class 1 licence
Experience in a main dealer or large fleet maintenance environment
Knowledge of diagnostics software and equipment
