Your new firmOur client, a collaborative and nurturing international firm, is looking for a Claims Handler to join their Professional Indemnity team in Bristol, who act on numerous high value and sensitive claims for clients throughout the UK including solicitors, surveyors, accountants, brokers, engineers, architects and their insurers. This role is based in our client's Bristol office however, you will be able to work remotely from home for part of the week if desired as the firm operates a hybrid working policy. Your new roleYou will be working as part of an already established but growing claims handling team that handles professional indemnity claims made against professionals on an outsourced basis. Working with the Head of Claims and other team members, you will be responsible for a technical and efficient delivery of service. You can expect to run a caseload where you will review and investigate cover, assist insured professionals, respond to claims and report to insurers where necessary, including identifying, investigating, and reporting potential issues.What you'll need to succeedYou will have prior Claims Handling and/or litigation experience; experience of Insurance is preferable but not essential. Our client is happy to consider candidates with either a law degree, those working towards ACII, CILEx or equivalent legal qualification, or alternatively you might have significant experience in claims, with technical knowledge and experience.An understanding of how to provide excellent customer service is essential, and you will be hardworking, enthusiastic and motivated, with competent skills in Microsoft Office.
