Billing Assistant – Full Time, Permanent Location: Bristol (Hybrid – part office, part home) Hours: 35 hours per week (Monday to Friday) Salary: £25,000–£27,000 (depending on experience)

We’re looking for a Billing Assistant to join a brand-new billing team in our finance department. This is a great chance to get involved early and help shape how the team works. If you enjoy working with numbers, have a good eye for detail, and like being part of a supportive team, this could be the perfect role for you.

What you’ll be doing:
  • Helping with day-to-day billing tasks like creating and sending invoices, updating records, and making sure everything is accurate and on time.
  • Supporting electronic billing (E-billing), including setting up client accounts, submitting invoices, and sorting out any issues.
  • Working closely with the Billing Manager and team to improve how we do things and keep everything running smoothly.
  • Keeping track of unbilled work and making sure clients are billed correctly and on time.
  • Making sure all billing follows the right rules and client requirements.
  • Working with other teams to solve any billing problems quickly.
  • Taking part in training and development to keep your skills up to date.
What we’re looking for:
  • Experience in billing or finance admin, ideally in a law firm or similar setting.
  • Familiar with E-billing systems and understanding of Work in Progress (WIP).
  • Great attention to detail and able to manage your time well.
  • Confident using Microsoft Office and open to learning new systems.
  • Good communication skills and a team player.
