PURPOSE OF ROLE
Are you an experienced underwriter seeking an exciting new opportunity? Our client, a leading and forward-thinking insurer, is looking for a Senior Development Underwriter to join their team. In this role, you will build strong relationships with brokers and client and drive sustainable growth through strategic underwriting.
DAY TO DAY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Underwrite and grow a profitable book of business
- Develop and maintain broker and client relationships
- Analyse risk exposure, ensuring competitive pricing and coverage
- Stay updated on market trends and regulatory changes
- Contribute to process improvements and product development
EXPERIENCE
- Proven experience in senior development underwriting
- Strong commercial underwriting and risk assessment background
- Success in managing broker relationships and driving growth
- Knowledge of market trends and regulatory requirements
SKILLS
- Strong technical underwriting and risk assessment skills
- Excellent relationship management and negotiation abilities
- Commercial acumen to identify and seize business opportunities
- Clear, effective communication and analytical thinking
