The Job:
On behalf of our client we are seeking a Warehouse Administrator. This role has arisen due to a promotion in the business. In this role you will be responsible for effectively supporting the supply of equipment and materials within their Warehouse and Stock Team. This role is 50% stock and warehouse duties and 50% administration.
This role is based in Yate, BS37, Bristol and is 100% office based.
Responsibilities will include:
- Responsible for all deliveries, promptly receipt, carry out quality inspection and store goods in the correct location.
- Organise the picking, packaging, and logistics of materials
- Co-ordinate the tracking, collection, delivery and transportation of parts, materials and returned goods including pallets and parcels.
- Ensure that good housekeeping is maintained at all times within the warehouse and stores areas, especially with regard to health and safety and proactively identify any health and safety issues and remedy in a timely manner.
- Operate forklift loading and unloading goods in and out of the stores, as and when required.
- Support regular stock checks to ensure accuracy of stock levels and appropriate levels of stock holding.
- Replenish stock to agreed levels.
- Support the maintenance of company vehicles including MOT, servicing and repair ensuring compliance with lease conditions and regulations.
- Undertake training and inspections (e.g. harnesses, rescue kits, ladders, PPE).
- Create purchase orders and purchase returns, accurately and in a timely manner as well as running report, purchase orders and dealing with suppliers
- Complete Safety, Health, Environmental and Quality (SHEQ) administration tasks for the Stores such as Risk Assessment Method Statements (RAMS) and Risk Assessments in collaboration with SHEQ team.
The Person:For this role our client is seeking someone who has gained some stock or warehouse experience (knowledge of health and safety procedures) and confident IT and administration skills. A Driving Licence is essential. In addition to this they are seeking:
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
- Ideal but not essential a current qualified Forklift Truck driver, First aid at work, PPE Competent person (training and courses will be provided so not essential)
- Able to work effectively and in an organised manner whilst under pressure.
