Description

We are seeking a recently RICS-chartered Quantity Surveyor to join a rapidly expanding Fund Monitoring team in Bristol.

This is an ideal opportunity for someone who has recently achieved MRICS status and wants to apply their cost and construction expertise in a strategic, client-facing role.

You will be responsible for providing independent advice to lenders and investors, assessing risk, cost, and programme performance throughout the development lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide independent advice on cost, risk, and programme performance throughout the development lifecycle;
  • Review development proposals, cost plans, and funding structures;
  • Assess budgets, procurement strategies, and potential risks;
  • Monitor construction progress and cashflow against forecasts;
  • Prepare clear, insightful fund monitoring reports for clients;
  • Collaborate with developers, lenders, and project teams to resolve issues early.

Typical Project work:

  • Residential developments and multi-site housing estates;
  • Purpose-built student accommodation;
  • Logistics and self-storage schemes;
  • Care homes and office/business parks.

Profile

About you:

  • MRICS qualified (recently chartered or within 12 months);
  • Background in quantity surveying, cost consultancy, or development monitoring;
  • Strong understanding of development finance and risk management;
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills;
  • Ability to manage multiple projects with confidence.
