Senior Planner - Infrastructure & Development Planning
Are you ready to take the next step in your planning career with a forward-thinking consultancy at the forefront of major UK infrastructure and development projects?

I'm working exclusively with an exceptional multi-disciplinary consultancy that's rapidly expanding its planning team. They're known for delivering innovative solutions in the utilities, energy, and infrastructure sectors - and now they're looking for an experienced Senior Planner to join their dynamic and growing planning function.

What's on offer:

  • Strategic involvement in nationally significant projects across energy, water, telecoms, and transport

  • A collaborative environment where planners work side-by-side with land agents, environmental specialists, and project managers

  • Genuine flexibility with a hybrid working model and multiple regional office locations

  • A clear progression path with support to move into leadership roles

About the Role:

You'll be leading planning strategy and applications on a range of complex infrastructure and development projects, including DCOs, T&CP Act applications, EIA coordination, and stakeholder engagement. You'll play a key part in shaping projects from pre-application through to consent.

What you'll need:

  • MRTPI-qualified with 5+ years' experience in planning, ideally within infrastructure, utilities or large-scale development

  • Strong working knowledge of the UK planning system, including NSIP/DCO processes and TCPA

  • Confident in client-facing roles and managing multi-disciplinary teams

  • A proactive, solutions-led mindset with the ability to think commercially

Why this opportunity?

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a consultancy that's setting the standard in land and planning for infrastructure. With ambitious growth plans, this business offers the chance to genuinely influence projects and carve out your own career path - whether that's technically, commercially, or into leadership.
