Responsibilities:

  • Take responsibility for the day-to-day conduct of Private Client files and handle all aspects of work connected with Private Client matters.
  • Be the main point of contact for private client-related inquiries received from various offices, primarily focusing on the Gloucester office.
  • Handle a wide range of Private Client issues, including but not limited to Wills, Probate, LPA's, Trusts, Estates, Tax, and Court of Protection.
  • Work to strict deadlines in a pressurised yet friendly environment.
  • Collaborate with support staff in a positive and proactive manner.
  • Liaise with the Legal Director on financial budgeting and training requirements/opportunities.
  • Maintain accurate electronic and paper-based records for clients.
  • Act as a positive ambassador for our client, demonstrating professionalism and excellent client care.
  • Participate in the business development of the department.
  • Undertake regular staff development to enhance skills and expertise.

Essential Requirements:

  • Qualified solicitor with experience in Private Client law, specifically in Wills and Probate.
  • Proven ability to handle a wide range of Private Client matters independently.
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to meet deadlines.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
  • A proactive and positive approach to work.

Desirable Requirements:

  • STEP qualification or working towards it.
  • Experience in handling complex Private Client cases.
