About the Role:
A well-established law firm in Bristol is seeking an organised and proactive Conveyancing Assistant to support its busy residential property team. The ideal candidate will have previous experience in a similar role and be confident handling a variety of administrative and client-facing duties.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supporting fee earners with all aspects of the conveyancing process.

  • Opening and closing client files, including AML checks and compliance procedures.

  • Drafting contracts, preparing completion statements, and requesting mortgage redemptions.

  • Liaising with clients, estate agents, mortgage lenders, and other solicitors.

  • Managing post-completion tasks such as SDLT submissions and Land Registry applications.

  • Maintaining accurate records and ensuring key dates and deadlines are met.

  • Handling incoming calls, emails, and correspondence in a professional manner.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a conveyancing or legal assistant role (preferred but not essential).

  • Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and experience with case management systems.

  • A team-player attitude with the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
