About the Role:
A well-established law firm in Bristol is seeking an organised and proactive Conveyancing Assistant to support its busy residential property team. The ideal candidate will have previous experience in a similar role and be confident handling a variety of administrative and client-facing duties.
Key Responsibilities:

Supporting fee earners with all aspects of the conveyancing process.

Opening and closing client files, including AML checks and compliance procedures.

Drafting contracts, preparing completion statements, and requesting mortgage redemptions.

Liaising with clients, estate agents, mortgage lenders, and other solicitors.

Managing post-completion tasks such as SDLT submissions and Land Registry applications.

Maintaining accurate records and ensuring key dates and deadlines are met.

Handling incoming calls, emails, and correspondence in a professional manner.
Requirements:

Previous experience in a conveyancing or legal assistant role (preferred but not essential).

Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.

Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office and experience with case management systems.

A team-player attitude with the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
