Freight Account Manager 

£35k - £45k DOE

Our well-established client working within the logistics industry are looking to onboard a reliable and experienced Freight AccountManager to join their already flourishing team!

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a global organisation and be part of a rapidly growing business where hard work and dedication is rewarded. Previous experience within a similar role is a necessity. If you are looking to further your career in the Freight industry then look no further!

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and manage your own portfolio of customer accounts, delivering a personalised and attentive service that fosters long-term client loyalty
  • Ensure operational excellence by overseeing the smooth and accurate execution of all shipments, promoting repeat business
  • Drive gross profit growth by identifying and securing new customer opportunities across various freight channels, ensuring consistent and ongoing shipments
  • Handle customer quotations directly, providing timely responses and proactive follow-ups to convert leads into business
  • Establish and nurture strong relationships with both new and existing suppliers, ensuring reliable and competitive service delivery
  • Play a key role in maintaining clear and profitable margins on all accounts and shipments, actively seeking opportunities to maximise profitability.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working in a role in the freight forwarding industry
  • Understanding of global logistics
  • Strong skills in negotiation
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Results driven
  • Flexible and reliable with a good attitude
  • Good time management
