The company is a leader in what they do, creating, rolling out and managing bespoke customer food-on-the-move solutions for a number of blue chip companies. 聽They operate over several food categories with a wide supply network, to create bespoke product solutions to Private label customers. 聽 Procurement Manager Purpose of role: The successful Operations and Procurement Specialist will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations and procurement requirements for their largest account, ensuring that all the Operational and Procurement activities run smoothly within the team and ensure they are aligned with the company's strategic goals. The role reports directly to the Head of Procurement and will work within the team to deliver a strong product and commercial understanding of suppliers and manufacturers that meets the business requirements. 聽 The role will involve: The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering new products & customer launches to market as part of an Agile scrum team, through: 路Developing a strong relationship with the key stakeholders, internally and externally, to identify and resolve risks, to ensure successful delivery of the critical path. 路Sourcing ingredients, packaging and finished product. 路Working closely and regularly negotiating with suppliers, manufacturers and distributors to ensure business achieve commercial targets 路Updating the team on operational project tasks, activities and risks at the daily stand-up meeting 路Use of project tools to capture information and present in an appropriate format 路Working with technical and finance counterpart to approve new suppliers and products 路Building an understanding of customer's brand values, operations and logistics parameters 路Building knowledge of relevant legislation effecting customer, suppliers and projects 聽 Procurement Manager Keys skills required 路Project management experience 路Sourcing ingredients, packaging and services 路Experience of working on multiple projects in a cross functional environment 路Experience in the FMCG industry 路Supply chain experience, including logistics cost and capability. 路Supplier Management & Negotiations 路Ability to quickly establish knowledge of a producer, including their capabilities and constraints. 路Understanding of the critical path process 路Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal 聽 This role may suit a person that has previously worked in Procurement, Buying, project management,Purchasing, food, packaging, Account management. 聽This role is commutable from Bristol, Gloucester, Cheltenham, Taunton, Bridgwater, Weston Super mare, Bath, Cheddar, Clevedon, Highbridge 聽
