About the Role
As part of our Programme Services (PPS), the Planning Function plays a vital role in delivering a diverse portfolio of projects across multiple industries. We are seeking a skilled and experienced Senior Planner Consultant to join our team and contribute to the successful delivery of projects in sectors such as Rail, Highways, Utilities, Nuclear, Defence, and Aviation.
You'll be at the center of excellence, helping our multidisciplinary teams achieve industry best practices and complete targets both in the UK and internationally. Key Responsibilities
Develop, manage, and update project schedules, including handling interfaces and engaging with relevant stakeholders.
Maintain and manage baselines to support performance and contractual metrics.
Lead meetings and workshops to assess and challenge project progress and performance.
Support Project and Project Controls Managers in maintaining schedules and managing interfaces.
Oversee the management of contract requirements relating to schedules.
Provide advanced reporting outputs, including Earned Value Management (EVM).
Conduct integrated assessments correlating schedule, cost, and risk factors.
Perform Critical Path Evaluation and scenario planning to mitigate potential issues and improve project efficiency.
Experience & Skills
Extensive experience working on multiple large-scale projects across diverse sectors.
Proven experience with NEC, JCT, FIDIC, and Rail Frameworks contracts.
Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
Expertise in advanced reporting techniques.
A comprehensive multi-discipline project controls skillset.
Understanding of the consultancy role and its applications in planning.
Qualifications
Proficiency in P6 (planning software).
Experience with Earned Value Management (EVM).
Strong skills in Critical Path Analysis (CPA).
Familiarity with NEC 3-4 contracts.
Expertise in integrated scheduling and multi-disciplinary project controls.
Professional memberships or accreditations are preferred.
