Your new companyWe are currently supporting a utilities business to recruit a Senior Procurement Manager (12-Month FTC) into their group function, where you'll play a pivotal role in leading the IT, FM and Communications categories.Your new roleAs a Senior Procurement Manager, you'll lead strategic procurement delivery across the IT, Hard & Soft FM and Customer Communications categories (c £.163m) by designing and delivering category strategy, engaging and influencing senior stakeholders to resolve blockers, implement process improvement and manage a small team of two Procurement Business Partners.Your responsibilities will include:* Lead strategic procurement delivery across IT, Hard & Soft Facilities Management, and Customer Communications categories, managing a spend portfolio of approximately £163 million.* Design and implement category strategies that align with business objectives and deliver measurable value.* Build strong relationships with senior stakeholders, influencing decision-making and resolving procurement-related challenges.* Drive process improvements across procurement operations to enhance efficiency and compliance.* Manage and develop a team of two Procurement Business Partners, providing leadership, coaching, and support.* Oversee end-to-end procurement activities, including sourcing, contract negotiation, supplier management, and performance tracking when needed.* Ensure procurement practices comply with public sector regulations (old UCR15 frameworks and PA23)* Monitor market trends and supplier innovations to inform strategic sourcing decisions and maintain competitive advantage.What you'll need to succeed:* Extensive experience in IT procurement is essential, with Facilities Management category experience being highly desirable* Proven line management experience, with the ability to lead, coach, and develop high-performing teams.* Demonstrated success in managing procurement portfolios of a similar scale (circa £150 million).* Strong understanding of public procurement regulations (UCR15 / PCR15 / PA23)* Exceptional stakeholder engagement and communication skills, with the ability to influence at all levels of the organisation.* MCIPS qualified or actively working towards full accreditation.* A data-driven and analytical mindset, with a track record of identifying and implementing process improvements and cost efficiencies.* A proactive approach to continuous improvement, risk management, and driving procurement excellence.What you'll get in return* A salary of up to £65,000* Hybrid working - 3 days per week on-site (This role can be based in either Bristol, Exeter or SurreyGenerous holiday allowance + bank holidays, bonus scheme, share-save scheme, various health benefits & more.What you need to do nowIf you're interested in this role, click 'apply now' to forward an up-to-date copy of your CV, or call us now.If this job isn't quite right for you, but you are looking for a new position, please contact us for a confidential discussion about your career.
