Engineering and Maintenance Manager

Package: Up to 70,000 per annum, plus annual bonus, pension plan

Would you like the opportunity to lead and effectively manage the Engineering and Maintenance function for a nationally recognised name within their industry? Kingston Barnes are recruiting for an exciting position with one of our Clients in Avonmouth, Bristol. The Engineering and Maintenance Manager will undertake the responsibility to lead and manage the department in a brand new 300 million pound facility.

The Role: Within the remit of the role, you will be responsible for leading and managing the Engineering and Manufacturing. Alongside this, you are responsible for Maintaining facilities and equipment to comply with appropriate legislations as well as company requirements. Responsibilities involve:

  • Provide strong leadership and guidance to the site engineering team
  • Full responsibility for the upkeep and maintenance of the site and equipment, maximise production and minimise breakdowns
  • Root cause analysis of downtime issues, implement corrective and preventive tasks
  • Plan, coordinate and execute planned and unplanned outages
  • Ensure maintenance schedules are up to date
  • Full responsibility for the Engineering and Maintenance budget
  • Involvement in all management meetings , work closely with management team
  • Supervision of subcontractors
  • Coordinate all engineering capital, critical and consumable spares to minimise downtime associated stock

The Candidate:

  • You will have proven knowledge of engineering equipment and processes in a process or power industry
  • Knowledge of PSSR Legislation
  • You will be able to plan and optimise maintenance practises
  • You will be responsible for the Implementation of new systems and procedures
  • You will have experience managing a engineering and maintenance team
  • Budget preparation, cost management and reporting
  • You will have a background in Engineering and manufacturing

This operational role requires a flexible approach to ensure work is achieved timeously and accurately. The plant operates on a 24/7 basis. Therefore, this will require occasional out of houses telephonic support, guidance and on site presence out of hours to manage issues with the shift engineering team.

The Benefits:

  • 65,000 - 70,000
  • 25 days + 8 bank holiday
  • 7% matched pension plan (14% total)
  • Up to 10-20% Annual bonus
  • Monday to Friday days (1 hour lunch break)
