Experienced Senior Site Manager required to work for a regional main contractor to specialise in managing new build & refurbishment projects.

Experienced Senior Site Manager required to work as a no2 reporting into a project manager on a refurbishment of an exsisting hospital.

Reporting to the Project Manager, you will be responsible for managing all site based construction activities including short-term programming of works, health and safety, review of method statements, risk assessments, call off of materials, logistics, quality control, client liaison, coordination meetings, reporting on progress against program, etc, snagging and handover.

This project is on-site and in progress with 5 years left to run it comprises of a number of improvements and refurbishment to modernize an exsisting hospital facilty.

This role is with the regional office of a Bristol based main contractor with a good pipeline of work in the Bristol & Somerset areas.

About the Company/Client/Project:

The contractor is a busy national contractor with a 55m annual turnover in the region, and a proven track record in the delivery of new build and refurbishment schemes in the education, defence, local authority, blue light, commercial and student accommodation sectors.

Requirements including certificates and qualifications:

The successful candidate will have 2-3 years of experience as a Site Manager, will be self-motivated, proactive, demonstrating excellent technical, organisational, man-management, communication and communication skills. Proven track record of work for a top twenty main contractor advantageous & heavy experience of managing facades.

  • Previous experience of working on health care projects would be advantageous
  • Ideally from a trades, construction management or engineering background with a sharp eye for detail, you will possess excellent communication and man management skills, be well organised and proactive.
  • You will have sound planning and problem solving ability, with a positive, 'get it right first time' approach.
  • You will possess your SMSTS, CSCS and First Aid qualifications for this role.
  • You will be experienced in the Site Management role, with a proven track record of successful project delivery placing safety, quality, positive client relationship, and supply chain relationships as priorities. If you have experience of mentoring junior managers and engineers also, that would be useful.
