Mission Critical Electrical Lead

Are you a technical expert in electrical building services with a passion for leading cutting-edge data centre projects? I'm currently representing a leading global consultancy that is looking to appoint a Mission Critical Electrical Lead to drive forward their rapidly expanding mission critical division.
This is a fantastic opportunity to take a pivotal leadership role within a business that genuinely values collaboration, innovation, and flexible working. You'll join a high-performing team that delivers some of the most complex and impactful data centre projects in the UK and internationally.

Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Client Development: Build strong relationships with data centre client teams and nurture long-term partnerships.
  • Technical Excellence: Develop and maintain electrical technical standards and present thought leadership both internally and externally.
  • Team Capability: Strengthen technical capability across the mission critical engineering team, acting as a senior point of contact for design support and mentoring.
  • Market Intelligence: Conduct research into new technologies, competitor activities, and supply chain developments to help inform strategy and identify new opportunities.
  • Cross-Discipline Collaboration: Work closely with engineering, architecture, sales, and project management teams to ensure cohesive project delivery.
  • Project Leadership: Manage the technical and financial delivery of complex, multi-disciplinary data centre projects in line with client expectations and business goals.
  • Reporting: Provide regular updates to leadership on project health, technical innovation, supplier engagement, and broader market trends.

What You'll Bring:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (or related discipline), with Chartered Engineer status preferred.
  • Deep technical expertise in electrical systems design for mission critical environments, especially data centres.
  • Strong leadership skills, with proven experience mentoring and developing high-performing teams.
  • A track record of delivering large-scale projects (typically 100m+).
  • Established network within the mission critical sector.
  • Confident communicator, comfortable presenting to internal stakeholders and at industry conferences.
  • Collaborative working style across multi-disciplinary teams.
