About the Role

Are you passionate about developing young minds and being an integral part of children’s learning development? We are looking for a dedicated, passionate Primary Teacher to join an inclusive Primary school in Knowle, Bristol. This is an exciting opportunity for someone to take responsibility for the learning and progress of a KS2 Class as part of a supportive, collaborative teaching team - always promoting inclusion, creating and maintaining the established positive school ethos. About the School

This school believes in creating a nurturing environment where pupils can flourish academically and socially. Your role will involve teaching and providing each child with a fantastic, inspiring and inclusive education across KS1 – KS2, that celebrates and recognises their individuality.

Key Responsibilities

As a KS2 Primary Teacher, you will:

  • Have high expectations of children to ensure they achieve their full educational potential at KS2
  • Set challenging teaching and learning objectives which are relevant to all students in KS2 classes
  • Demonstrate and teach lessons which are consistently ‘good’ or better and work with colleagues to become an ‘outstanding’ teacher
  • Have knowledge of a range of approaches to assessment, including questioning, oral assessment and self-assessment and the importance of formative assessment at KS2
  • Maintain a secure knowledge and understanding of your phase(s) and related pedagogy to enable you to teach effectively at the Academy across KS2

Person Specification

  • Degree in relevant Subject
  • QTS (Qualified teaching status)
  • Experience of teaching in a primary school setting (KS2 teaching experience a bonus)
  • A hardworking and highly motivated work ethic
  • A commitment to the education and well-being of all pupils
