We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Band 7 Community Psychiatric Nurseto join aCAMHSteam in North Somerset. This is an exciting opportunity to play a pivotal role in delivering specialist mental health care to children and young people and their families.

As a senior clinician, you will hold a defined caseload of complex cases and be a key member of a multidisciplinary team, supporting care planning, risk management, safeguarding, and therapeutic intervention. You will also contribute to service development, supervision, and quality improvement initiatives.

  • Provide comprehensive mental health assessments, risk assessments, and formulation for children and adolescents referred to CAMHS.

  • Develop and implement evidence-based care plans, therapeutic interventions, and crisis management strategies.

  • Deliver interventions such as CBT, psychoeducation, family support, and emotional regulation techniques.

  • Work collaboratively with families, schools, social care, and other health professionals to ensure holistic and integrated care.

  • Attend and contribute to MDT meetings, safeguarding discussions, and clinical case reviews.

  • Provide supervision and mentoring to Band 6 and Band 5 nursing colleagues or students.

  • Support service development projects and contribute to audits, evaluations, and quality improvement initiatives.
