We are currently seeking a Compassionate and Committed Complex Needs Teaching Assistant to join a truly exceptional PMLD school in the Bristol area. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a setting where every day is unique, and every moment is an opportunity to support, inspire, and empower.

Although this role will begin on a temporary basis, the school is known for retaining and developing the right individuals into permanent members of the team.
Key Responsibilities:-
Provide tailored support to students with complex needs, including personal care and mobility assistance

Work closely with teachers, therapists, and other professionals to implement EHCPs and personalised learning plans

Foster a positive, stimulating, and safe learning environment

Use specialist equipment and resources, including in the hydro pool and sensory rooms
-
Support students in developing communication, independence, and life skills
-
Experience working with children or young people with complex needs, PMLD, or in a special school setting is highly desirable

Patient, empathetic, and resilient

Comfortable with personal care and manual handling (training provided)

Able to work collaboratively as part of a multi-disciplinary team

A proactive attitude and willingness to learn and adapt to individual pupil needs

A caring, patient, and resilient attitude

Experience working with children or young people with complex or additional needs (desirable)

Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (essential), you can apply for this through usÂ

Full UK driving licence and access to your own transport (essential due to the school’s location and possible off-site visits)

Willingness to assist with personal care and manual handling (training will be provided)
