The Role

As a Senior Acoustic Consultant, you'll take the lead on diverse and challenging projects across multiple sectors - from education and healthcare to residential, commercial, and performing arts developments. You'll combine your technical expertise with a collaborative mindset to deliver innovative, sustainable acoustic solutions.

This role offers variety, responsibility, and the chance to shape projects from concept through to completion.



Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and oversee acoustic projects from inception to completion.

  • Deliver technical excellence in building acoustics, ensuring compliance with relevant standards and best practices.

  • Communicate acoustic findings clearly to clients and non-technical stakeholders.

  • Undertake on-site testing, including sound insulation and vibration assessments.

  • Use advanced modelling tools such as CATT, Odeon, INSUL, Cadna/A, and Revit.

  • Collaborate closely with clients, architects, and colleagues to integrate acoustic design seamlessly into wider projects.

  • Contribute to BIM integration, product development, and continuous improvement of company processes.

  • Mentor and support junior consultants, fostering a culture of learning and development.



About You

Essential:

  • Proven experience in building acoustics and a strong grasp of relevant standards and techniques.

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage both technical and non-technical audiences.

  • Practical experience in sound insulation testing and construction acoustics.

  • Proficiency with software tools such as CATT, Odeon, INSUL, Cadna/A, and Revit.

  • A collaborative team player with a people-focused approach.

Desirable:

  • Experience in environmental acoustics projects.

  • A passion for sustainable design and green building acoustics.
