Technical Compliance Manager

My Client an established food manufacturer supplying premium products predominantly to Wholesalers is currently seeking a Technical Compliance Manager to join their team. This role will report to the Chief Operating Officer and work alongside the site Technical manager. They will ensure tasks relating to quality, safety and legality are completed by supporting production, carrying out tasks outlined by the quality management system. We are looking for an experienced Technical Compliance Manager or an ambitious and enthusiastic individual with quality assurance experience within the food industry looking to take the next step in their career.
Areas of responsibility for the Technical Compliance Manager :路Increasing the Technical standards by which the Company operates and supporting the manufacturing standards and seeking to raise them continuously路Support the technical managers activity ensuring compliance with the site FSQM and any necessary audit standards and legal requirements路Support factory compliance with FSQMS including managing and organising GMP and fabrication audits路Support factory compliance with traceability requirements including leading traceability exercises and organising for tests of the system路Approving and auditing all suppliers and maintain an approved suppliers' database路To advise management on current, potential or future issues that may affect the business in a timely and effective manner路Manage and help maintain documents required to support FSQMS路Manage the control of non-conforming products in the factory路Manage product labelling within the factory路Support the production of pack copies and finished product specifications路Be an active member of the site's HACCP team路Involvement with FSSC/BRC activities路Communicate effectively with production managers, supervisors, team leaders and operatives路Compile KPI data for the technical department on a weekly basis for trend review路Compile complaint information and support trend analysis路Arrange microbiological sampling, and analyse trends from results路Investigate trending issues, one-off concerns or opportunities for improvement through root cause analyses路Deputise for technical manager as requiredSkill s required for the Technical Compliance Manager :路Qualified with a Degree or equivalent level qualification or by experience in Food Science or related subject matter路Previous experience in a supervisory/managerial position路This role would be the ideal position for someone who has experience of working in technical team within a food manufacturing environment路HACCP L3/FSL3 trained路BRC or BRCGS working knowledge of food standard/similar GFSI standard are preferred but not essential路Possess a good level of communication and attention to detail路Experience of supporting FSQMS within a food manufacturing environment路Good problem solving skills and the ability to work to strict timeframes
