Project Manager
£26.16 - £35.00 per hour
Morson are currently recruiting for a Project Manager to work within commercial Aerospace in Filton. This is an exciting role managing new developments and support for new aircraft build and deliveries, to maintaining a large and active in-service fleet through to aircraft retirement. You will be integrating with various cross-business stakeholder functions to ultimately deliver various projects within an innovative aerospace manufacturer. We're looking for an experienced project manager that has experience within an engineering environment.
The role is being offered on a 12-month contract basis, with a possibility of extension or permanent conversion. Based in Filton you would be expected to be onsite at least 3 days a week across a 35-hour week. We can pay a rate of £26.16 per hour PAYE or £35 per hour Umbrella inside IR35.
Responsibilities
- You will be accountable for leading and supporting all activities within their project portfolio.
- Deliver work packages in line with the agreed schedules and budgets, consistently managing time, cost, and quality objectives.
- Manage processes for effective project management and the direction of cross-functional teams.
- Manage the integration of Engineering, Manufacturing, Procurement, and Customer Services functions, as well as external supplier management.
- Provide regular progress reports and escalate issues requiring resolution.
- Contribute to the yearly budget development and monthly financial outlook, reporting on activities within their area of responsibility.
Requirements
- Project Management experience in a technical engineering environment to the level you can have technical conversations with Engineers
- Aerospace experience, with an understanding of production of commercial aircraft.
- Familiarity with toolset around configuration management and ICC (integrated Configuration controls).
- Exposure to various planning tools.
- Strong stakeholder management skills interfacing with procurement, engineering, design, suppliers and customers.
- An understanding of budget control.
Desired Skillset
- Prior experience of negotiating with customers and suppliers.
- Educated to degree level or equivalent experience in project/programme management.
- Experience in managing projects through the full project lifecycle.
- Sound technical knowledge of the specification, design, build, and test process of commercial aircraft.
- Familiarity with ICC CADB or ICC ACP
Recognising the RESTRICTED nature of the work, suitable candidates will need to be BPSS cleared or eligible for this level of clearance before starting on site and meet ITAR restrictions
