What you'll be doing:
* Negotiating best cost and delivery with suppliers, placing and following up on POs for assigned commodities.
* Building and maintaining effective supplier relationships to ensure smooth PO execution.
* Managing problems and schedule changes to ensure on-time delivery.
Updating ERP systems (Oracle) to ensure accurate planning.
* Balancing tactical execution with strategic initiatives to drive cost and lead time reductions.
* Supporting Commodity Buyers on technical and commercial developments to improve product knowledge.
* Participating in supplier performance reviews and contributing to projects.
* Managing end-to-end procurement activities while applying sourcing policy and interfacing between suppliers and internal stakeholders.
What we're looking for:
* 2+ years of experience in a buying, sourcing, or procurement role within engineering or a related industry.
* Self-starter, highly motivated, and process-oriented individual.
* Strong negotiation, communication, and supplier management skills.
* Ability to work under pressure and handle challenges effectively.
* Technical knowledge or background in electrical fields would be an advantage.
* Experience with ERP systems (Oracle preferred).
The details:
* Location: Nailsea
* Hours: Monday-Friday, 8am-4pm (flexible start times)
* Hybrid: 1 day remote working per week
* Salary: 28.84 per hour
