We are recruiting on behalf of a well-established construction contractor delivering projects across commercial, industrial, residential, education, healthcare, and retail sectors. This is an excellent opportunity for a junior Quantity Surveyor) to develop their commercial skillset within a supportive project team environment.

You will assist with cost control, procurement, valuations, and commercial administration from pre-construction through to final account.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

Assist in preparing cost estimates, budgets, and Bills of Quantities
Support tender preparation, analysis, and comparison of subcontractor and supplier returns
Assist with procurement of subcontractors and materials
Monitor project costs and track expenditure against budgets
Support preparation of interim valuations and applications for payment
Assist with valuation of variations and change control
Help produce cost reports, forecasts, and cashflow updates
Liaise with site teams, subcontractors, suppliers, and consultants
Maintain accurate commercial records and documentation
Support final accounts and project close-out activities
Attend site meetings and site visits as required

Skills & Experience Required

Up to 2 years' experience in a Quantity Surveying or commercial role within construction
Degree or qualification in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related discipline (or working towards)
Basic understanding of construction contracts (JCT / NEC desirable but not essential)
Strong numerical and analytical skills
Good attention to detail and organisational skills
Willingness to learn and develop within a commercial environment
