Senior Quantity Surveyor - Bristol
Leading Infrastructure Contractor | National Highways Framework | 50,000-65,000 + Car & Package


An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to deliver a key infrastructure framework in the South West for National Highways. This opportunity promises the successful candidate a position with lots of autonomy, the chance to put your own mark on the project, job security and the support of a friendly and experienced team.

Role Overview
The Senior Quantity Surveyor will have direct responsibility for managing NEC3 Option C & E contracts across a portfolio of road improvement and maintenance schemes valued between 2,000 and 1m. Operating from the clients smart offices in Bristol, the role requires someone with a keen eye for detail, excellent communication skills and the ability to represent the business in a client-facing capacity whilst overseeing a portfolio of projects across Cornwall, Devon, and Somerset.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage all commercial aspects of allocated projects, ensuring robust cost control and value optimisation
  • Lead cost value reporting, applications for payment, and contract administration
  • Oversee subcontract procurement, management, and final accounts
  • Drive change management and commercial negotiation with clients and suppliers
  • Support site delivery teams with accurate commercial guidance and risk mitigation


Essential Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor or Senior Quantity Surveyor on civil engineering or infrastructure projects
  • Strong working knowledge of NEC3 Option C & E forms of contract
  • Ability to operate independently within a client environment
  • Proficient in cost reporting, valuations, and contractual correspondence


Desirable

  • Experience using CEMAR for contract management
  • Previous exposure to highways or infrastructure frameworks
