Role Summary
We are looking for an experienced and driven Bars Manager to take the lead on all bar operations at the Bristol Beacon. This is a hands-on, fast-paced role at the heart of a thriving venue, where no two days are the same. Youll oversee a team delivering service to thousands of guests, from bustling concert nights and major events to private hospitality packages and restaurant service.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead and inspire the bar team to deliver exceptional service across multiple bars and events.
- Recruit, train, and develop staff, ensuring high performance and a positive team culture.
- Drive sales and customer satisfaction through creative, on-trend beverage menus.
- Manage stock, ordering, and supplier relationships to deliver strong GP and minimise wastage.
- Oversee cash handling and ensure compliance with licensing, health & safety, and food safety standards.
- Work closely with the wider management team including the Executive Chef and Events Manager to deliver seamless hospitality for concerts, conferences, and private events.
- Monitor financial performance, analyse P&L, and implement strategies to improve margins and sales.
- Be a visible leader on busy event nights, motivating the team and engaging directly with customers.
About You
- Proven experience as a Bar Manager or in a senior bar leadership role within a busy hospitality environment.
- Strong knowledge of drinks trends, cocktails, and bar service standards.
- Skilled in managing large teams with a hands-on approach when it matters.
- Excellent organisational and communication skills.
- Commercial awareness with experience managing stock, GP, and labour.
- A natural leader who thrives in fast-paced environments and inspires confidence in others.
- Passionate about delivering outstanding customer experiences.
