Reed Accountancy are thrilled to be exclusively partnering with a successful legal firm based in the city centre.

The Finance Assistant will be responsive for ensuring accurate record-keeping and supporting financial reporting to aid strategic decision-making. This role is integral to maintaining the financial health and efficiency of the company.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Invoice Management: Raise and process invoices, payments, and expense claims (approximately 60-80 invoices per month).
  • Financial Communication: Regularly communicate with firm employees on finance matters to ensure accuracy.
  • Bank Reconciliation: Reconcile bank statements, accounts, and financial transactions.
  • Financial Reporting: Assist in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports and budgets.
  • Budget Monitoring: Monitor budgets and expenditures to ensure alignment with financial goals.
  • Record Maintenance: Maintain and update financial records, ensuring compliance with relevant policies and regulations.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in finance administration or accounting.
  • Strong knowledge of financial principles and accounting software (Xero and Excel proficiency).
  • Ability to handle confidential financial information with integrity.
  • Knowledge of regulatory compliance and financial reporting standards.
