We are working with a well-respected independent girls’ school in Bristol, seeking an enthusiastic English Teacher to cover a short-term role starting on June 2nd through to the end of the academic year in July. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in an academically high-achieving and supportive environment with motivated students and a strong focus on excellence.

The successful candidate will teach English across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, with the possibility of some Key Stage 5 depending on experience. The role will include planning, delivering, and assessing lessons in line with the school’s curriculum, and supporting students in the lead-up to the end of term.

• Deliver high-quality English lessons that meet the needs of all learners

• Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback

• Maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment

• Contribute to the wider English department and uphold the school’s values and ethos

• QTS or equivalent teaching qualification

• Experience teaching English at secondary level (KS3 & KS4 essential; KS5 desirable)

• Strong classroom management and communication skills

• A genuine passion for English and the ability to inspire students
