Are you enthusiastic about supporting the mental health and well-being of children and young people?

Do you have experience supporting individuals that have various Special Educationl Needs(SEN)?

In recent years there is a massive focus on supporting the mental health and SEN needs of pupils in mainstream and SEN schools. We are currently seeking practitioners to support these pupils on a 1:1 or general classroom basis to start in ASAP to work in our partnered school, supporting children with severe and profound disabilities in the Fishponds and surrounding areas. You'll play a vital role in helping students thrive during their foundation years and beyond.

We are looking for full time and part time support (with an option of progressing onto contract with the right school). As a Autism Support Worker, you will be involved in not only supporting pupils within the classroom but will also be comfortable with running activities with the pupil/s outside the classroom as well. Alongside the class teacher, you will also provide support with ensuring the right support is in place for the students.



About the Students

Our pupils have a range of needs, including:

  • Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD)
  • Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD)
  • Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC)
  • Complex Needs

The school operates across five specialist sites: Infants, Juniors, Secondary, Sixth Form, and an Alternative Provision.



We're Looking For Someone Who:

  • Has experience in a similar role or with individuals with disabilities (desirable)
  • Is confident working with challenging behaviour
  • Can provide 1:1 or 2:1 support tailored to individual needs
  • Demonstrates strong behaviour management and communication skills
  • Is proactive, adaptable, and enthusiastic
  • Is committed to inclusion and continuous learning
