Learning Support Assistant (Key Worker) - SEND
Full-time | Term-time only | BS6

We are seeking a dedicated Learning Support Assistant (Key Worker) to join our team and play a vital role in supporting children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND). This is a rewarding opportunity to make a real difference to children's learning, development, and wellbeing.



Key Responsibilities

  • Work closely with teachers to provide tailored support that helps children achieve the targets set out in their EHCP/IEP.
  • Deliver evidence-based interventions on a 1:1 or small group basis to support learning and skills development.
  • Support learning in class by adapting and scaffolding work alongside teachers.
  • Assist in the preparation of learning resources, maintenance of accurate records, and monitoring of pupil progress.
  • Provide pastoral and personal care, including support with behaviour, social, and welfare needs, and carrying out specified medical procedures (following training).

We are looking for someone who is:

  • Passionate about supporting children with SEND to achieve their potential.
  • Patient, empathetic, and able to build strong relationships with pupils and families.
  • Confident in working both independently and as part of a team.
  • Organised and proactive, with a willingness to adapt to meet individual pupil needs.
  • Experienced in working with children with SEND
