TeacherActive is urgently recruiting a KS1 Teaching Assistant for a welcoming primary school in central Bristol. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a supportive team, working within Year 1 or Year 2 classrooms to help pupils build strong early foundations in literacy, numeracy, and confidence. Immediate start dates are available.

The Role:
As a KS1 Teaching Assistant, you’ll:

• Support the class teacher with daily routines, activities, and learning delivery

• Assist with phonics, reading, and small-group interventions

• Encourage progress through discussion, play, and visual learning tools

• Build positive, trusting relationships with pupils, staff, and parents

• Work flexibly – part-time or full-time options available

What We’re Looking For:

• Experience working with children in KS1, EYFS, or a childcare setting

• A calm, consistent, and proactive approach to support

• Strong communication and teamwork skills

• Confidence leading small-group work and supporting reading and phonics

• Enhanced Child-Only DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply)
