About the Role
Our client isseeking a number of skilled and compassionate IDVAs to provide high-quality, trauma-informed support to people at high risk of domestic abuse. You will work closely with statutory and voluntary partners to improve safety, reduce harm, and help survivors move forward with confidence and independence.
This is a temporary-to-permanent opportunity, ideal for someone who is ready to develop their career in the sector. Whether you're an experienced advocate or bringing transferable skills from a related background, you'll be supported every step of the way.
Key Responsibilities
- Responsible for providing advocacy and support to high risk victims of domestic abuse
- Carry a caseload of high-risk clients, developing robust safety and support plans and ensuring all risk is managed
- Work in partnership with agencies such as the police, health services, and MARAC
- Advocate for the rights and needs of survivors, ensuring their voices are heard
- Maintain accurate records in line with safeguarding and data protection protocols
What our client are looking for:
- Experience supporting victims of domestic violence including Domestic Abuse services, Social Services, Supported Housing, Family Support, Children’s Services etc
- Understanding of risk assessment, safety planning, and safeguarding
- Strong interpersonal and advocacy skills
- Ability to work independently and within a multi-agency framework
- Willingness to undergo IDVA training if not already qualified
