About the Role:

What will your responsibilities be?

In this role, you will work in a busy community team, completing Care Act assessments, carer assessments, reviews, support planning, and where needed, mental care capacity and best interest decisions. Practitioners are expected to lead with Safeguarding Enquiries and collaborate with other services such as health, housing, and voluntary organisations.

Essential Requirements:

  • A recognised professional qualification in social work, such as an MA, BA, BSc in Social Work, Diploma in Social Work, or CQSW (Certificate of Qualification in Social Work).
  • Must be registered with Social Work England, the regulatory body for social workers in England.
  • Significant experience in delivering social work services to vulnerable adults, including those with disabilities and complex needs.
  • Thorough understanding of relevant legislation, such as the Care Act 2014 and the Mental Capacity Act 2005.
  • Strong assessment and analysis skills, as well as the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team
  • A full UK driving license and access to a car are often required for client visits.
