Social Worker – South Community Adult Social Care TeamBristol City Council | Full-Time | £32 ph LTD (£25.14 PAYE)About the RoleAn exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Social Worker to join the South Community Adult Social Care Team at Bristol City Council. This is a fast-paced and rewarding role where you will support adults in the community by completing assessments, reviews, and support planning under the Care Act 2014.You will work in a multi-disciplinary environment, collaborating with health, housing, and voluntary organisations to deliver person-centred and strength-based support to Bristol’s diverse communities.Key Responsibilities
  • Undertake Care Act assessments, carer assessments, and reviews, ensuring individuals receive the right level of support.
  • Develop support plans that promote independence, choice, and well-being.
  • Complete mental capacity assessments and best interest decisions where required.
  • Lead on safeguarding enquiries, working in line with safeguarding policies and procedures.
  • Work closely with health, housing, and voluntary sector partners to ensure effective multi-agency support.
  • Maintain accurate and timely records in line with statutory requirements.
What We’re Looking For
  • Qualified Social Worker, registered with Social Work England.
  • Experience in adult social care, including Care Act assessments and safeguarding.
  • Knowledge of mental capacity assessments and best interest decision-making.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively.
  • A commitment to strength-based and person-centred practice.
