Venn Group Software Architect, SC Cleared (UKEO) 12-Month Contract On-site in Bristol £65 - £70 per hour (Inside IR35, Umbrella)

Our client are urgently seeking a C++ Software Architect to join them on a long-term contract.

Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop Command and Control software architectures for future products.
  • Lead hands-on implementation across the full software development lifecycle.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure system-wide software integration.
  • Contribute to process improvement through innovative tools and techniques.

Skills & Experience Required:

  • Strong software engineering background with C++ expertise.
  • Experience with software architecture models and real-time, multi-threaded applications.
  • Familiarity with safety-critical standards (e.g. DefStan 00-55, DO-178C, MISRA C++).
  • Exposure to full development lifecycle including requirements, integration, and documentation.
  • Due to the nature of this work, you must hold an active SC Clearance to be considered for this position.

Desirable:

  • Additional knowledge of Ada, QT, or similar programming languages is a plus.
