Fantastic Graduate opportunity! Our client based in Bristol at the junction of the M5/M4 at Aztec West are a busy Global FinTech software provider to the world's top banks.

They are looking for an additional Junior / associate Software Engineer , 3 days a week in office 2 work from home .

Location: Bristol (Hybrid) 3 days in office

You will work with Product Owners, Team Leaders and other Developers throughout the software development life cycle to build efficient programs and systems that serve user needs.

You will manage a diverse workload including multiple parallel tasks and you will prioritise your time and tasks effectively. You will be designing and developing innovative solutions for the worlds leading financial institutions.

Description and responsibilities:

Writing and testing code to develop scalable and robust solutions which meet the high performance and availability standards of global financial institutions

Making code changes and unit testing of the code, primarily using Java and associated languages and technologies, and any other languages deemed appropriate in future

Investigation of problems and determining the best solution

Creating and maintaining automated build and testing systems

Support on-going maintenance and fixes of companies solutions and in-house toolkits

Working with clients to solve high priority problems in existing systems

Discussing client's requirements and proposed solutions with the wider team to fully understand and translate business requirements

Collaborating with other developers and other departments

Create technical documentation for reference and reporting

Adhering to the development roadmap to ensure features and functionality are delivered on time

Experience, training and qualification:

BSc (Honours) Computer Science or similar degree with a significant computing bias

Full time , Permanent , 37.5 hours
