Guidant Global is partnering with a trusted affiliate of the UK's Ministry of Defence to recruit a proficient C++ Software Architect. This position entails working at the Bristol facility to develop cutting-edge solutions for the next generation of Air Defence Systems. Our client's team is committed to producing evolving products while maintaining their distinguished reputation for safety, performance, and reliability.

Key Responsibilities:

This position is highly interactive and involves the ongoing design and development of Command and Control architectures, as well as their implementation for future products. It is ideally suited for a proactive Software Engineer who demonstrates initiative.

What do you need?:

  • Extensive experience in software engineering, including its implementation and system-wide impact.
  • Proficient in C++ programming.
  • Skilled in developing and working with software architecture models.
  • Demonstrates a collaborative and open approach to development, with the ability to work effectively in a team and maintain momentum throughout the development process.
  • Comprehensive experience across the entire software development lifecycle, from engaging with requirement authorities to automated target integration and validation, supported by thorough documentation.
  • Familiarity with new tools, techniques, and methodologies that can enhance our processes, improving efficiency and sustainability.
  • Proficiency in additional programming languages such as Ada and QT.
  • In-depth knowledge of Real-Time Multi-Threaded Applications.
  • Understanding of industry standards such as DefStan 00-55, DO-178C, or IEC61508, and adherence to restricted coding standards like MISRA C++.
