Yard Supervisor – Drive Progress at Portbury
Are you ready to take the next step in your management career? We’re looking for a proactive and motivated Yard Supervisor to join our busy Portbury site. You’ll be central to keeping things running smoothly – from managing vehicle storage and ship discharges to supporting and developing your team.
What you’ll be doing:
- Leading and motivating Yard Foremen to deliver results on time.
- Ensuring vehicles are stored safely, efficiently, and to customer standards.
- Building strong communication lines with customers, carriers, and port authorities.
- Taking ownership of incident investigations and reporting.
- Helping to shape the future of our operations with new ideas, better systems, and sustainable practices.
- Playing a hands-on role in staff training, development, and HR processes.
- Stepping up as Yard Manager when required.
What we’re looking for:
- A confident communicator with excellent organisational skills.
- Someone who thrives on responsibility and is keen to develop their management abilities.
- Comfortable with Microsoft Office and open to learning industry-specific IT systems.
- A team player who is adaptable, forward-thinking, and quality-driven.
