A fantastic school in the Bristol BS4 area is seeking a Graduate SEN Teaching Assistant to join their team as soon as next week. This school supports children and teenagers aged 3 to 16 with a range of additional learning needs including: Autism, Speech and Language Difficulties, learning disabilities, mental health challenges and physical disabilities.

The Role:

* Support students in a small class setting, helping them with learning activities and personal development.
* Use creative and therapeutic approaches (e.g., sensory play, Makaton, PECS) to support communication and engagement.
* Build strong, trusting relationships with students and become a positive role model in their lives.
* Work closely with the teachers, speech therapists, and educational psychologists to develop tailored support strategies.
* Help students build life skills, as well as manage and handle challenging behaviours.

This is a fantastic opportunity if you are a recent graduate, looking to build your experience in SEN and mental health as a Graduate SEN Teaching Assistant. You will gain on-the-job training in autism strategies, behaviour management and communication techniques - excellent skills for those considering a career in Educational psychology, Education and Training, Speech Therapy, or Counselling.

The school in Bristol is seeking a graduate with a degree in Psychology, Education and Training or Health & Social Care, who is kind, patient and compassionate. While prior experience working as a Graduate SEN Teaching Assistant or with children or vulnerable adults is beneficial, a genuine passion for supporting young people is the most important factor!
