About the Role

As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will:

  • Support pupils with Autism, SEMH needs, and learning difficulties.

  • Work 1:1 and in small groups to provide tailored support, helping pupils engage with the curriculum and build confidence.

  • Assist the classroom teacher in creating a nurturing, inclusive and stimulating learning environment.

  • Provide personal care when required, including help with toileting, feeding, and daily routines ensuring every child feels safe, supported and respected.

What We’re Looking For

To be successful in this role, you’ll need:

  • A caring, patient and nurturing approach.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

  • The ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently.

  • Experience supporting children or young people (formal or informal).

  • A genuine passion for helping children with additional needs thrive.

Experience in education or with SEN is preferred but not essential – your attitude, commitment and willingness to learn are what matter most.
