As a Trainee SEN Teaching Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting pupils with additional needs across a range of needs and age groups. This flexible, hands-on role is ideal for anyone looking to build experience in education or begin a career working with children with SEND.
You will:

Provide 1:1 and small-group support, helping pupils engage with learning in a way that suits their needs.

Assist classroom teachers with activities, resources and creating a positive, inclusive learning environment.

Support pupils with personal care and daily routines where required.

Adapt smoothly to different classes and settings, building positive relationships with staff and pupils.

What We’re Looking ForYou don’t need previous school experience to apply - just the right attitude and a willingness to learn.
We’re looking for:

A patient, caring and flexible approach.

Strong communication skills and the ability to work well in a team.

Experience supporting children or young people (formal or informal - e.g., babysitting, youth work, tutoring, coaching).

Willingness to assist with personal care when needed.

A genuine passion for helping children with additional needs achieve their best.
- An enhanced child and adult DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one).
Experience in education or SEND settings is a bonus, but not essential.
