About the Role:
We are looking for adaptable and proactive Cover Supervisors with at least two years of UK-based school experience and a background in SEND (Special Educational Needs and Disabilities). You will play a critical role in maintaining learning continuity by supervising classes during teacher absences.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage classroom behaviour to maintain a safe and productive environment.
- Deliver pre-set lesson plans, ensuring students remain on task.
- Support students with their learning and address questions.
- Foster positive relationships with students and staff.
- Adapt to the needs of students, including those with SEND.
Requirements:
- Experience: Minimum of two years in UK schools as a Cover Supervisor or in a similar role.
- SEND Expertise: Experience supporting students with SEND is essential.
- Education Background: Graduates in fields such as humanities, psychology, or education-related courses are highly valued.
- Skills:
- Strong behaviour management.
- Excellent written and spoken English.
- Personable and adaptable, with transferable skills.
- Resilient, proactive, and flexible in approach.
Additional Preferences:
- Drivers Preferred: Ability to commute within 30 minutes by car or 1 hour by public transport.
- Qualifications: Level 2+ in Early Years or a related field is a plus.
