SEN/primary teacher required for a special needs school in Bristol, full time and starting as soon as possible.

This teaching post would see you take on a class of 8 students at KS2 level with low learning ability. The school is a SEMH specialist school, so we are looking for a teacher that is confident around special needs and behaviours. Being a new school, they don't have huge student numbers right now, but will be growing all the time. The school provides modern amenities and lots of open spaces being in a new build. This school would be a great fit for a teacher that perhaps is coming from a mainstream environment and looking offer a more bespoke approach to a smaller demographic of students. You should have ideally a vested interest in mental health and empowering students who have low self esteem.

Requirements;

-UK QTS in primary education or SEN education

-Experience in SEMH either from a mainstream or specialist provision

-Strong behaviour management and able to keep students fully engaged with their learning, as well as utilising support staff available to ensure that expectations on students is adhered to as best as possible

-Plan and develop lessons that are inclusive to all learning abilities and differentiated to students EHCPs.

-Adopt the school's ethos around the education they provided and contribute to the wider school success outside of your own classroom.

-Mark all applicable work, and track student progress as well be reflective on lesson plans as to what works and what doesn't.

-Enhanced DBS on the update service, or willing to apply for one.
