We are recruiting for a Special Education Teacher in the Redwick area of South Gloucestershire / bordering Bristol. Ideally you will have a have experience of working with Children with Autism and related communication difficulties.

With each of their schools achieving outstanding or working towards outstanding ratings with Ofsted you will be joining a passionate multi discipliary team. This School teaches children and young people up to age 19 with a variety of learning disabilites, Autism or communication needs.


Duties
You will be key in delivering high-quality teaching to the young people within a safe environment helping to equip them for the next stage of their lives.

The School offers life skills as well as a range of GCSE / Functional Skills / BTEC accreditations and entry level pathways to further education.


Criteria
  • Relevant knowledge of working with children with ASD desirable.
  • Understanding Safeguarding and child protection guidelines.
  • PGCE, QTS, Cert Ed or equivalent teaching qualification and evidence of in-service training.
  • Experience of Teaching Maths, English or Computing at KS3/KS4 desirable (Other Subjects will be considered)
  • Good communication skills both written & verbal.
  • Ability to engage students in positive enabling relationships.
