This School teaches children and young people up to age 19 with a variety of learning disabilites, Autism or communication needs.
DutiesYou will be key in delivering high-quality teaching to the young people within a safe environment helping to equip them for the next stage of their lives.
The School offers life skills as well as a range of GCSE / Functional Skills / BTEC accreditations and entry level pathways to further education.
Criteria
- Relevant knowledge of working with children with ASD desirable.
- Understanding Safeguarding and child protection guidelines.
- PGCE, QTS, Cert Ed or equivalent teaching qualification and evidence of in-service training.
- Experience of Teaching Maths, English or Computing at KS3/KS4 desirable (Other Subjects will be considered)
- Good communication skills both written & verbal.
- Ability to engage students in positive enabling relationships.
