Senior Transport Consultant - Bristol

Location: Bristol

Hours: Full-time (37.5h/week) or part-time considered

An established and well-respected independent consultancy is seeking a Senior Transport Consultant to join its growing Bristol office. The Role

Reporting directly to a Director, you will contribute to a range of development planning and transport projects across multiple land uses. Your responsibilities will include preparing Transport Assessments, Transport Statements, Technical Notes, and Travel Plans to support planning applications. You will review site layout plans, provide highways and access advice, analyse traffic and speed survey data, calculate visibility splays, and prepare associated drawings using AutoCAD.
You will attend design team meetings, liaise with clients, consultants, and local authority officers, coordinate traffic and parking surveys, and undertake site visits and off-site meetings where required. This role offers excellent variety, responsibility and clear scope for progression.
About You

You will bring:
A relevant degree in Geography, Transport Planning, Civil Engineering, or similar.
At least two years of relevant post-graduate experience.
Strong numerical ability, excellent written English, and confident communication skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, AutoCAD, and AutoTRACK.
A full UK driving licence (desirable).
Experience with junction modelling software is beneficial but not essential.
