Transport Planner
Location: Bristol

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Transport Planner to join a respected and growing consultancy based in Bristol. Our client is seeking a motivated and analytical professional to support the delivery of a wide range of development planning and infrastructure projects across the UK.

As part of a multidisciplinary team, you will work on diverse transport planning assignments that influence the success of major residential, commercial, and mixed-use schemes. This is a great opportunity for someone looking to develop their technical skills and progress in a client-focused consultancy environment.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Preparing and assisting with the production of Transport Assessments, Transport Statements, and Travel Plans

  • Supporting the appraisal of development sites and access strategies

  • Undertaking junction modelling and capacity assessments (e.g., using ARCADY, PICADY)

  • Using relevant datasets and software tools such as TRICS, TEMPro, and AutoCAD

  • Engaging with clients, project teams, and local authorities to deliver high-quality planning outcomes

About You:

  • Degree qualified in Transport Planning, Civil Engineering, Geography, or a related discipline

  • Relevant years of experience in development transport planning preferred (but not essential)

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • A keen interest in sustainable transport, planning policy, and infrastructure delivery

  • A proactive and organised approach with attention to detail

  • Experience with transport modelling software desirable
