Travel Experience Specialist - Japanese speaking

Our client is looking for a Travel Experience Specialist to enhance client journeys and resolve any travel-related issues. The Customer Experience team is pivotal in monitoring daily travel conditions, including air and rail services, weather events, and public health risks, to keep travelers informed and supported.

What Will I Be Doing?

  • Handling Inquiries and Issues: Address customer questions, requests, and problems via phone and email.
  • Coordination and Liaison: Collaborate with the operations team and travel consultants to resolve customer experience issues and coordinate with service providers to ensure smooth service delivery.
  • Incident Management: Use the customer support ticketing system, to manage incidents and disruptions such as natural disasters.
  • Service Enhancement: Participate in projects during the off-peak season to improve service quality and seek opportunities to enrich clients' travel experiences.

What Experience Do I Need?

Language Proficiency: Native English speaker with intermediate to advanced Japanese or native Japanese speaker with advanced English

Customer Service Skills: Strong communication skills, calm under pressure, and confident on the phone in both languages.

Travel Knowledge: Familiarity with travel in Japan and in-depth knowledge of the country.

Technical Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office and comfortable using various software tools.

Detail-oriented, emotionally intelligent, and able to work both independently and as part of a team.

What Else Do I Need to Know?

This is office based in their fabulous offices in Bristol for the first 6 months then moves to a hybrid role

Salary £28,577 Work Schedule: 37.5 hour week Thursday to Monday 9-5.30.

Compensation and Benefits: 50% extra pay for weekend work and 125% extra pay for holiday work Annual discretionary performance bonus. 25 days of annual leave, increasing to a maximum of 28 days. Day off on your birthday
