Join an impressive team at the Bristol Depot as a Mobile Fitter! This hands-on role is perfect for someone who thrives in a dynamic environment and is passionate about machinery maintenance. You will be primarily responsible for the repair and maintenance of a fleet of Telescopic Handlers, including brands like JCB and Manitou, mostly carried out on-site with customers.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Conduct routine and emergency maintenance and repairs of all types of plant machinery, focusing on Telescopic Handlers.
- Travel to customer sites to provide onsite services ensuring minimal downtime and disruption to customer operations.
- Diagnose faults effectively using specialist equipment and ensure accurate, timely resolutions.
- Maintain detailed records of serviced machinery and report any major issues to management.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations at all times during onsite visits.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Plant Maintenance or equivalent qualification.
- Proven experience as a diesel mechanic.
- A valid UK driving licence with no more than 3 penalty points.
- Strong working knowledge of plant machinery, particularly Telescopic Handlers.
- Ability to work independently, take initiative, and manage time effectively.
- Good communication skills in both spoken and written English.
- A valid CSCS card is desirable but not essential.
